In this work, pure Sn was used to wet ZrCuNiAl bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) assisted by ultrasonic treatment. Without ultrasonic treatment, pure Sn showed a non-wetting condition to BMG. Ultrasonic vibration facilitated the wetting of Sn to BMG. Prior to ultrasonication for 30 s, only physical adsorption formed at the Sn/BMG interface. Increasing ultrasonic time led to the alteration of the bond at the Sn/BMG interface from point contact to local surface contact, and to diffusion layer. Two bonding modes of order-order and order-disorder were discovered at the Sn/BMG interface. Cu content was higher than the other elements near the bonding interface. Longer diffusion distances of Sn into the BMG were obtained at high ultrasonic power, high temperature and large dip depth.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) infections rank as the most prevalent sexually transmitted infections globally. The Brazilian Ministry of Health recommends the topical use of 70%-90% trichloroacetic acid (TAA) for treating condyloma acuminata, yet this method suffers from a high recurrence rate of 36% and requires roughly six applications. Topical photodynamic therapy (PDT) has shown effectiveness in targeting subclinical lesions, but it also necessitates multiple sessions for complete lesion clearance.

Purpose: Postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) is a type of refractory neuropathic pain that causes significant suffering, disability, economic loss, and medical burden. In this study, we aim to evaluate the efficacy and safety of interferon (IFN)-α1b injection into the intervertebral foramen of patients with PHN.
Patients And Methods: This is a study protocol for a randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled multicenter clinical trial.

Plant-derived nanovesicles have gained attention given their similarity to mammalian exosomes and advantages such as low cost, sustainability, and tissue targeting. Thus, they hold promise for disease treatment and drug delivery. In this study, we proposed a time-efficient method, PEG 8000 combined with sucrose density gradient centrifugation to prepare ginger-derived nanovesicles (GDNVs).

Edible coating (EC) can reduce excessive oil absorption in deep-fat fried food products. Ultrasound is an efficient pretreatment to preserve the quality characteristics of fried samples. The impact of guar gum based EC and sonication on the quality parameters of fried zucchini slices was investigated.

Background: Proso millet bran protein (PMBP), derived from agricultural by-products, possesses high nutritional value, despite its challenging extraction process. The present study proposes an extraction method for PMBP using ultrasound-assisted cellulase technology (UAE), and optimizes the process parameters. Non-waxy (N-PMBP) and waxy (W-PMBP) PMBPs, extracted through alkaline solubilization and acid precipitation (conventional treatment, CT), served as control groups to assess the impact of UAE on the structure and functionality of PMBP, as well as the distinctions between N-PMBPs and W-PMBPs.
