Background: More than half of pregnant patients with overweight or obesity exceed national gestational weight gain (GWG) guidelines, increasing their risk of adverse outcomes. There is an urgent need to develop effective and scalable interventions to improve GWG.
Objective: To describe the protocol of Lifestyle, Eating, and Activity in Pregnancy (LEAP), a cluster randomized controlled trial evaluating a mobile health (mHealth) intervention promoting appropriate GWG in an integrated healthcare system.

Reversed-phase liquid chromatography (RPLC) offers significant advantages over traditional methods for estimating octanol-water partition constants, which are a critical parameter in drug discovery. In contrast to classical methods for determining the octanol-water partition constant, such as shake-flask techniques, RPLC is less time-consuming and easier to automate. In this study, we explored three alternative organic solvent modifiers: acetone, 2-propanol, and tetrahydrofuran for the indirect determination of the octanol-water partition constant for neutral compounds by RPLC using either isocratic retention factors or retention factors extrapolated to 100 % water for several stationary phases.

Objective: The emergence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) Escherichia coli strains has significantly constrained antibiotic treatment options, while the spread of antimicrobial resistance genes (ARGs) and mobile genetic elements exacerbates the situation. This study delves into an MDR E. coli strain, QMM-01, which uniquely co-expresses β-lactamases from all four recognized classes, aiming to uncover the underlying mechanisms of its resistance and assess its potential for global spread.

Swarm robots offer fascinating opportunities to perform complex tasks beyond the capabilities of individual machines. Just as a swarm of ants collectively moves large objects, similar functions can emerge within a group of robots through individual strategies based on local sensing. However, realizing collective functions with individually controlled microrobots is particularly challenging because of their micrometer size, large number of degrees of freedom, strong thermal noise relative to the propulsion speed, and complex physical coupling between neighboring microrobots.
