Leukocyte migration inhibition tests show that lymphocytes of Epstein-Barr virus-seropositive individuals recognize a Raji cell membrane antigen and a membrane protein encoded by Epstein-Barr virus in latently infected cells. Antiserum against the latter blocks the leukocyte migration inhibition triggered by both preparations, suggesting that the two antigens are associated with the same protein complex.

Background: The objective of the current study was to elucidate the clinical mechanism through which phospholipase D2 (PLD2) exerted a regulatory effect on neutrophil migration, thereby alleviating the progression of acute pancreatitis.
Aim: To elucidate the clinical mechanism through which PLD2 exerted a regulatory effect on neutrophil migration, thereby alleviating the progression of acute pancreatitis.
Methods: The study involved 90 patients diagnosed with acute pancreatitis, admitted to our hospital between March 2020 and November 2022.

Immune functions decline with aging, leading to increased susceptibility to various diseases including tumors. Exploring aging-related molecular targets in elderly patients with cancer is thus highly sought after. Here we find that an ER transmembrane enzyme, sterol O-acyltransferase 2 (SOAT2), is overexpressed in regulatory T (Treg) cells from elderly patients with lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), while radiomics analysis of LSCC patients associates increased SOAT2 expression with reduced immune infiltration and poor prognosis.

Dengue virus (DENV) poses a considerable threat to public health on a global scale, since about two-thirds of the world's population is currently at risk of contracting this arbovirus. Being transmitted by mosquitoes, this virus is associated with a range of illnesses and a small percentage of infected individuals might suffer from severe vascular leakage. This leakage leads to hypovolemic shock syndrome, generally known as dengue shock syndrome, organ failure, and bleeding complications.

Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, immune-mediated neurological disorder in which the immune system mistakenly attacks the myelin sheath, affecting the communication between the brain and the rest of the body.
Objective: This study investigated the prophylactic use of peptide inhibitor of trans-endothelial migration (PEPITEM), a novel peptide, in alleviating experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a mouse model for Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Methods: Female C57BL/6 female mice were assigned to the control, untreated EAE, or PEPITEM group.

Background: Ewing's sarcoma (EwS), a common pediatric bone cancer, is associated with poor survival due to a lack of therapeutic targets for immunotherapy or targeted therapy. Therefore, more effective treatment options are urgently needed.
Methods: Since novel immunotherapies may address this need, we performed an integrative analysis involving single-cell RNA sequencing, cell function experiments, and humanized models to dissect the immunoregulatory interactions in EwS and identify strategies for optimizing immunotherapeutic efficacy.
