Unlabelled: Acute generalized peritonitis requires precocious diagnosis and immediate treatment.
Materials And Methods: The purpose of this study is to determine hospital case frequency, to describe the clinical and therapeutic aspects and to evaluate the operating suites. We conducted a prospective study, lasting 16 months, from January 2005 to April 2006, looking at 40 cases of generalized acute peritonitis operated in several services, including a general surgery department, of the Sominé Dolo's hospital of Mopti.
Results: We noted a hospital admittance rate of 3.1% with an average age of 26.3 years old and a 1.66 men to women ratio. Peritonitis at the Sominé Dolo hospital was dominated by intestinal perforation. The diagnosis was essentially made using the clinical approach. The treatment was medico-surgical. Operative mortality was recorded in 7 cases (17.5%) with 7 cases of inner-wall abscesses. The delay of consultations and the Mannheim score were the main factors causing bad prognostics. Excision - sutures associated with a cleansing drainage of the abdominal cavity was the most practised surgical procedure.
Conclusion: Mortality remains high. The two factors for a bad prognostic are the delay of consultation and the lack of means for reanimation.

Adnexal torsion is a rare cause of abdominal pain in middle childhood and, in general, the diagnosis is often delayed due to the lack of specificity of symptoms and imaging tests. We describe the case of a girl in middle childhood who came to the emergency department for pain in the right iliac fossa of approximately 15 hours of evolution associated with partial refusal of food intake and vomiting. The initial examination showed normal vital signs, a soft abdomen, pain on palpation in the lower region, but no signs of peritoneal irritation, a mild leucocytosis with no other signs of infection and the initial abdominal ultrasound showed no objective pathology.

An 84-year-old lady presented with 1 day history of sudden onset generalized abdominal pain, fevers, and peritonism. Computed tomography was suggestive of a mid-small bowel perforation associated with a distal ovoid soft tissue density structure without pneumobilia. An urgent laparotomy demonstrated two areas of jejunal diverticula necrosis and perforation associated with a 3 cm luminal mass in the proximal ileum, and proximal small bowel dilatation.

During cancer peritoneal metastasis (PM), conventional antigen-presenting cells (dendritic cells, macrophages) promote tumorigenesis and immunosuppression in peritoneal cavity. While intraperitoneal immunotherapy (IPIT) has been used in clinical investigations to relieve PM, the limited knowledge of peritoneal immunocytes has hindered the development of therapeutic IPIT.
