Background: Assessing children's motor skills is important for identifying children with delays, measuring learning, and determining teaching effectiveness. One popular assessment for measuring fundamental motor skills in children is the Test of Gross Motor Development-2 (TGMD-2). Although the TGMD-2 long form is widely known, a short form of the TGMD-2 has not been yet proposed and investigated. The aim of this study was to develop a short form of the TGMD-2 and to examine its validity, interrater reliability and test-retest reliability.
Method: Data from 2,463 Brazilian children were analyzed. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis was used to investigate the validity of reducing the number of TGMD-2 skills.
Results: The short-form version of the TGMD-2 with six skills has appropriate indices of confirmatory factorial validity (root mean square error of approximation: 0.06, 90% confidence interval [0.06, 0.07]; comparative fit index: 0.94; normed fit index: 0.94: Tucker-Lewis index: 0.83; goodness-of-fit index: 0.98; adjusted goodness-of-fit index: 0.95), internal consistency (α = 0.70 for the overall test), interrater and intrarater reliability (intraclass correlation coefficients values from 0.81 to 0.96) and test-retest reliability (r values from 0.55 to 0.95).
Conclusions: From these findings, practitioners now have a valid and reliable, short form of the TGMD-2 for use in assessing children's motor skill competence; promoting wider use of the test for screening and pedagogical purposes.

Introduction Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among preterm infants, necessitating effective treatment strategies. This study compared the efficacy of Beractant (SURVANTA®) to Poractant alfa (CUROSURF®) in treating RDS in preterm infants admitted to Tawam Hospital in the UAE. Methodology This retrospective study included preterm infants from 23+0 to 36+6 weeks of gestation with a diagnosis of RDS and treatment by Beractant or Poractant alfa within 48 hours of life between January 2020 and March 2023.

Objectives: This study evaluated the clinical utility of the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) by comparing it with objective clinical data and validated health-related quality of life (HRQOL) measures in pediatric Crohn's disease (CD) patients.
Study Design: Cross-sectional study. Pediatric CD patients (aged 8-17 years) were enrolled prospectively over eight months from an outpatient pediatric gastroenterology center.

Background: self-efficacy in breastfeeding influences the duration of breastfeeding. There is a validated scale to measure it, the Breastfeeding Self Efficacy Scale-Short Form (BSES-SF), developed by Dennis et al. AIMS: to examine the internal structure of the BSES-SF, verify if the score changes in the first months of lactation and if it is related to early cessation of breastfeeding.

Purpose: A considerable body of evidence indicated that interpersonal relationships were significantly associated with short-form video addiction (SFVA) among adolescents, but how they are related on a symptom level at different ages remains unclear. This study aimed to explore the central symptoms of SFVA and distinct associations between three primary interpersonal relationships (ie, teacher-student relationships, parent-child relationships, peer relationships) and SFVA symptoms in early and middle adolescence.
Participants And Methods: After completing scales of SFVA, teacher-student relationship, parent-child relationship and peer relationship in 2022, a sample of 1579 fourth-grade students (age range: 10-12; = 10.

Background: The prevalence of chronic wounds is expected to rise with the increasing elderly population in the society. This rise in prevalence of chronic wounds comes with its consequences such as wound pain and interference with activities of daily living.
