Unlabelled: It seems that dehydration may impair decision-making performance in athletes.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the influence of dehydration on passing decision-making performance in soccer players.
Method: Participants were 40 male soccer players (M = 22.3 ± 2.3 years) who agreed to participate in the study and were randomly assigned to the following conditions: control (CON), dehydration (DEH), and euhydration (EUH). The players played in 2 games of 90 min in duration (2 45-min halves) followed by 2 15-min halves (overtime) with and without proper hydration. The Game Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI) was considered for the analysis of passing decision making.
Results: The GPAI analysis indicated effective reduction in the decision-making index in the DEH condition compared with the EUH and CON conditions, F(2, 38) = 31.4, p < .05, ES = 0.8.
Conclusions: In conclusion, dehydration may be considered a mediating factor in the passing decision-making performance of male soccer athletes.

Water is the basic molecule in living beings, and it has a major impact on vital processes. Plants are sessile organisms with a sophisticated regulatory network that regulates how resources are distributed between developmental and adaptation processes. Drought-stressed plants can change their survival strategies to adapt to this unfavorable situation.

This case adds to the scientific literature by highlighting the potential risk of common fruits, such as grapes, in causing serious gastrointestinal blockages in pediatric patients, which is an uncommon but important consideration for pediatricians and caregivers.
Main Symptoms And Clinical Findings: A 7-month-old female presented with a 3-day history of vomiting, which progressed to bilious vomiting, accompanied by abdominal distension and dehydration.

KCNQ1 potassium channels play a pivotal role in the physiology and pathophysiology of several human excitable and epithelial tissues. The latest cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) structures provide unique insights into channel function and pharmacology, opening avenues for different therapeutic strategies against human diseases associated with KCNQ1 mutations. However, these structures also raise fundamental questions about the mechanisms of ion permeation.

Background: Acute diarrhea (AD), which is defined as frequent passing of liquid stools compared to normal, is a serious and worrying problem and remains a concern for healthcare systems because of its high mortality cause in children under 5 years old. The authors' study aimed to present the prevalence and to describe the clinical manifestation of AD among under-5 children.
Methods: From June 2022 to May 2023, the authors conducted a retrospective, descriptive and cross-sectional study including all patients aged 0-5 years hospitalized for AD.

Epoxy resins (EPs) are highly flammable, and traditional flame retardant modifications often lead to a significant reduction in their mechanical performance, limiting their applications in aerospace and electrical and electronic fields. In this study, a novel flame retardant, bis(4-(((diphenylphosphoryl)oxy)methyl)phenyl)phenyl phosphate (DMP), was successfully prepared and introduced into the EP matrix. When the addition of DMP was 9 wt%, the EP/9 wt% DMP thermosets passed the UL-94 V-0 rating, and their LOI was increased from 24.
