Local allergic rhinitis (LAR) in patients with no systemic markers of atopy is a very interesting phenomenon due to the lack of any definitive explanation for the mechanism of this IgE-dependent reaction. Some of the recent attempts to explain this phenomenon consider LAR to be closely associated with an allergic reaction, some suggest that this phenomenon is a spontaneous process in the nasal mucosa. Future attempts to elucidate the complexity of inflammatory reactions will undoubtedly establish a clear differential diagnostics algorithm for rhinitis.

Background: The role of local infiltration anesthesia (LIA) in knee surgery is significant. LIA can be more potent than a nerve block, but without the downsides. A wide range of agents are used for LIA, including some off-label medications such as dexmedetomidine and ropivacaine.

Background: An increasing body of evidence has suggested that the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease (AD) is not confined to the neurons but instead that neuroinflammation plays a significant role in the disease, with an interplay between the brain and the immune system. So far, their shared genetic components have not been systematically studied.
Method: We investigated the shared genetic architecture between AD and a plethora of immune-mediated diseases using the genome-wide association studies (GWAS) summary statistics data: allergic rhinitis, asthma, atopic dermatitis, celiac disease, Crohn's disease, hypothyroidism, primary sclerosing cholangitis, RA, systemic lupus erythematosus, ulcerative colitis, and vitiligo.
Objective: Allergic reactions during dental procedures are suspected frequently. Still, data on the confirmed allergens are rare. This study aims to identify allergens in dentistry and potential cofactors in sensitization.

Allergic rhinitis (AR) and asthma (AS) are two of the most common chronic respiratory diseases and a major public health concern. Multiple studies have demonstrated the role of the nasal bacteriome in AR and AS, but little is known about the airway mycobiome and its potential association to airway inflammatory diseases. Here we used the internal transcriber spacers (ITS) 1 and 2 and high-throughput sequencing to characterize the nasal mycobiome of 339 individuals with AR, AR with asthma (ARAS), AS and healthy controls (CT).
