Relaxation processes in supercooled liquids are known to exhibit interesting complex behavior. One of the hallmarks of this relaxation process observed in the measured auto correlation function is the occurrence of multiple steps of relaxations. The shorter time relaxation is known as the β-relaxation which is believed to be due to the motion of particles in the cage formed by their neighbors. The longer time relaxation is called the α-relaxation. The time scales of these two relaxations processes dramatically separate out with supercooling. In spite of decades of research, it is still not clearly known how these relaxation processes are related to each other. In this work, we show that there is a possible universal relation between short time β-relaxation and long time α-relaxation. We also show that the proposed relation can be rationalized within random first order transition theory of glass transition if power law relation is assumed between static and dynamic length scales.

While body mass index (BMI) is the most common anthropometric measure, a measure of central adiposity-the waist-to-height ratio (WHtR)-focuses on body fat content and distribution; is not distorted by bone or muscle mass, sex, or ethnicity; and may be particularly relevant in HFpEF.
Methods: The PARAGON-HF trial randomized 4796 patients with heart failure and ejection fraction ≥45% to valsartan or sacubitril/valsartan.

Background: A number of genetic aberrations are associated with the BCL6-correpresor gene (BCOR), including internal tandem duplications (ITDs) and gene fusions (BCOR::CCNB3 and BCOR::MAML3), as well as YWHAE::NUTM2, which are found in clear cell sarcoma of the kidney (CCSK), sarcoma with BCOR genetic alterations, primitive myxoid mesenchymal tumor of infancy, and high-grade neuroepithelial tumors in children. Detecting these gene aberrations is crucial for tumor diagnosis. ITDs can be identified by Sanger sequencing or agarose gel electrophoresis.

Facile pesticide nanocapsules were successfully prepared by directly encapsulating the antisolvent precipitation of pesticides through instantaneous "on site" coordination assembly of tannic acid and Fe, avoiding tedious preparation, time consumption, and large amounts of organic solvents. The pesticide nanocapsules showed excellent resistance to ultraviolet photolysis and rainwater washing owing to the nanocapsule walls. The smart pesticide nanocapsules exhibited the controlled release of pesticides under multidimensional stimuli, such as acidic/alkaline pH, glutathione, HO, phytic acid, laccase, tannase, and sunlight, which were related to the physiological and natural environments of crops, pests, and pathogens.
