The spatial transcriptomics is a rapidly evolving biological technology that simultaneously measures the gene expression profiles and the spatial locations of spots. With progressive advances, current spatial transcriptomic techniques can achieve the cellular or even the subcellular resolution, making it possible to explore the fine-grained spatial pattern of cell types within one tissue section. However, most existing cell spatial clustering methods require a correct specification of the cell type number, which is hard to determine in the practical exploratory data analysis.

Purpose: Sleep apnea (SA), associated with absent neural output, is characterised by recurrent episodes of hypoxemia and repeated arousals during sleep, resulting in decreased sleep quality and various health complications. Mitochondrial DNA copy number (mtDNA-CN), an easily accessible biomarker in blood, reflects mitochondrial function. However, the causal relationship between mtDNA-CN and SA remains unclear.

Background: Previous research has found that compulsions in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) are associated with an imbalance between goal-directed and habitual responses. However, the cognitive mechanisms underlying how goal-directed and habitual behaviors are learned, and how these learning deficits affect the response process, remain unclear. The present study aimed to investigate these cognitive mechanisms and examine how they were involved in the mechanism of compulsions.

To optimize patient outcomes, healthcare decisions should be based on the most up-to-date high-quality evidence. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are vital for demonstrating the efficacy of interventions; however, information on how an intervention compares to already available treatments and/or fits into treatment algorithms is sometimes limited. Although different therapeutic classes are available for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), assessing the relative efficacy of these treatments is challenging.

Objective: To devise a predictive model for estimating the requisite volume of the orbit in patients poised for resection of hyperostotic spheno-orbital meningiomas.
Material And Methods: The predictive regression model was conceived through the retrospective analysis of perioperative radiological data from 25 patients who initially underwent surgery at the Burdenko Neurosurgery Center for hyperostotic spheno-orbital meningiomas grade I. The model quality metrics were evaluated utilizing the performance library in the R programming language, including the Akaike Information Criterion, Bayesian Information Criterion, adjusted R-squared, Root Mean Squared Error, and Sigma.
