A variety of conditions mimicking rheumatologic syndromes may be associated with an underlying malignancy. Therefore, distinguishing these syndromes from more common, nonparaneoplastic rheumatologic conditions can be perplexing. Some autoimmune conditions and the medications used for their management can be associated with increased future risk of malignancy. Some cancers can directly involve the musculoskeletal structures, whereas others present with systemic manifestations at sites away from the tumor and its metastases. Better awareness and timely recognition of these associations may lead to earlier cancer detection and, it is hoped, better long-term survival.

Background: Interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase1 (IRAK1) plays a considerable role in the inflammatory signaling pathway. The current study aimed to identify any association between (rs1059703) single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) and vulnerability to rheumatological diseases in the pediatric and adult Egyptian population.
Patients And Methods: The current study included four patient groups: adult Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), Rheumatoid arthritis (RA), juvenile systemic lupus erythematosus (JSLE), and juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA).

Background: For severe systemic rheumatic diseases (SRDs), therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) may be applied as a rescue therapy; it usually combined with intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) or intravenous methylprednisolone pulse (IVMP) in severe SRDs. However, the necessity of this combination treatment strategy in SRDs remains uncertain.
Objective: This retrospective study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of TPE alone versus TPE combined with IVIG/IVMP in treating severe SRDs.

Introduction: The Person-Centred Care instrument for outpatient care (PCCoc) is a 36-item patient-reported experience measure with 4 ordered response categories, that aims to capture the degree of perceived person-centred care (PCC) from a patient perspective among persons with long-term conditions. The PCCoc is based on a framework that conceptualises outpatient PCC from lower to higher levels of perceived PCC, from personalisation via shared decision-making to empowerment, where 35 of the PCCoc items are a part of the framework's hierarchy.
Aim: To investigate to what extent empirical item responses are consistent with the hierarchical PCCoc conceptual framework among persons with long-term conditions in outpatient care.

The primary aim of our study was to evaluate the demographic, clinical, and laboratory characteristics of sarcoidosis patients with musculoskeletal symptoms; investigate the relationship between arthritis development and various laboratory parameters (such as vitamin D, liver enzymes, and ACE levels); and compare the sarcoidosis-associated arthritis cases with those without. We also explored the factors influencing arthritis development and the role of biopsy in diagnosing sarcoidosis within rheumatology practice. This retrospective study analyzed 147 sarcoidosis patients from 2000 to 2024, categorized by the presence ( = 45) or absence ( = 102) of arthritis.
