In his comment, Rossiter (2018) claims that voice-only communication elicits improvements in empathic accuracy that are "so slight as to not be of any practical importance" (p. 689). In this reply, I acknowledge that the reported experiments from Kraus (2017) produced small effects and are limited in terms of what they can conclude about empathic accuracy.
