Localized gingival overgrowths belong to a common group of lesions designated as focal reactive overgrowths. They occur in response to chronic, low-grade irritation caused by plaque or any other irritant. They have multifactorial etiopathology but exhibit similar clinical features with slight variations in patient complaints. Success of the lesions' management depends on formation of healthy contours of the surgical area after excision of lesion and absence of a recurrence. The purpose of case series is to present 6 different cases of localized gingival overgrowths and their management with the following techniques: nonsurgical periodontal treatment, gingivectomy, flap surgery, free gingival graft, gingival unit, and connective tissue graft.

Background: Successful periodontal regeneration depends on primary wound closure and interdental papilla preservation. In this case study, we introduce a novel triangle papilla access approach (T-PAA) performed under a surgical microscope for treating interdental bone defects. In this novel approach, buccal incisions were used to access root surfaces and bone defects, avoiding interdental papilla incisions and preventing papillary collapse and necrosis.

Background: Surgical methods of gingival depigmentation can be challenging, particularly if the gingival phenotype is thin due to the risk of gingival recession and bone exposure. Objective: Aim of this study was to critically appraise clinical evidence on the potential benefits of adjunctive use of superfoods green tea and turmeric as mouthrinse or local delivery agents in the treatment of periodontal disease.
Materials And Methods: Electronic searches were performed in four databases for randomized trials from inception to February 2024 assessing the supplemental use of superfoods green tea and turmeric for gingivitis/periodontitis treatment. After duplicate study selection, data extraction, and risk-of-bias assessment with the RoB 2 tool, random-effects meta-analyses of Mean Differences (MD) or Standardized Mean Differences (SMD) with their 95% confidence intervals (CI) were performed.
Background: It is generally accepted that the greater palatine nerve and artery supply the palatal mucosa, gingiva, and glands, but not the bone or tooth adjacent to those tissues. When the bony palate is observed closely, multiple small foramina are seen on the palatal surface of the alveolar process. The authors hypothesized that the greater palatine nerve and artery might supply the maxillary teeth via the foramina on the palatal surface of the alveolar process and the superior alveolar nerve and artery.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate with ultrasonography (US) the location of GPF, the course of the GPA, and to measure palatal fibromucosa thickness.
Materials And Methods: This in vivo experiment was conducted on a group of healthy, young Turkish subjects. Using the US, the localization of the GPF, its diameter and opening type, maximum flow velocity (Vmax) and collateral branches (CB) of the GPA, and the thickness of the palatine mucosa were evaluated.
