Background And Objectives: α-Gal syndrome is characterized by specific IgE (sIgE) antibodies to the carbohydrate galactose-α-1,3-galactose (α-Gal) and delayed onset of allergic symptoms after ingestion of mammalian meat. While tick bites are assumed to mediate sensitization, the immune response to tick bites has not yet been investigated. To investigate the peripheral immune response to tick bites in humans over time.

Background: Subcutaneous immunotherapy has emerged as an effective option for treating allergic diseases. Here, we assessed the clinical impact of the mannan-conjugated birch pollen polymerized allergoid T502 in birch pollen-induced allergic rhinoconjunctivitis.
Methods: In this prospective, randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled phase III trial, 298 birch pollen-allergic adult patients were treated across 28 trial sites in Germany.

Background: Noninvasive biomarkers for diagnosing and monitoring eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) are currently lacking. This study evaluates 20 biomarkers in serum and saliva, aiming to assess their diagnostic potential in pediatric EoE patients and healthy individuals.
Methods: Blood and saliva from children undergoing upper endoscopy were analyzed for biomarkers, including absolute eosinophil count (AEC), eosinophil-derived neurotoxin (EDN), total and specific IgG-antibodies (sIgG), specific IgE-antibodies (sIgE) and 15-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (15(S)-HETE).

Objective: Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a growing public health problem worldwide. Respecting the significance of the modified Lund-Kennedy (MLK) score in rhinitis assessment, we delved into its evaluation value on the sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) efficacy in AR patients.
Methods: Totally 100 AR patients were enrolled, with pre- and post-SLIT MLK score, total nasal symptoms score (TNSS), total medication score (TMS), visual analogue scale (VAS), inflammatory cytokines, and immune function-related parameters compared.
