Sclerosing microcystic adenocarcinoma is an exceedingly rare entity occurring in the mucosal surfaces of the head and neck that closely resembles cutaneous microcystic adnexal carcinoma. Here, we report a case of sclerosing microcystic adenocarcinoma that presented as a vague mass at the floor of the mouth in a 55-year-old woman. The pathology features and the diagnostic challenges, especially in the biopsy and margin evaluation are discussed here. Similar cases published in the English literatures are reviewed.

Objective: The aim of this study is to share our experience in treating patients with lymphatic malformations (LMs) over a span of 14 years, evaluating the efficacy and safety of sclerotherapy, particularly with the use of ethanol as sclerosant of choice.
Methods: A retrospective review of pediatric patients diagnosed and later treated for LMs between 2008 and 2022 was conducted. We collected patient demographics, LM characteristics, treatment strategies, and outcomes, including response to treatment and complications.

Sclerosing microcystic adenocarcinoma (SMA) is an uncommon neoplasm of the oral cavity, with only 14 reported cases documented in the literature. We present a case of SMA in a 65-year-old woman with a history of high-grade lymphoma who developed clear cell changes in the deep muscular layer of the tongue. Currently, the diagnosis of SMA relies on careful morphological evaluation and the exclusion of other potential differential diagnoses.
