Introduction: This study consisted in histopathological and immunohistochemical examinations of the central nervous system of 15 sheep suspected of infection with . The sheep displayed compulsive circling and were submitted for necropsy in 2012-2016.
Material And Methods: Species identification was made on the basis of the PCR analysis and parasitological examination of the cysts.
Results: cysts were detected only in the cerebral tissue of 13 sheep and in the cerebral and cerebellar tissues of 2 animals. Out of the 33 parasite cysts, most (21.21%) were located in the right and left frontal lobes of the cerebrum. The largest cyst measured 6 × 5 cm and the smallest cyst was 2 × 2 cm in size. The highest and lowest numbers of scolices were 55 and 21, and the number of rostellar hooks ranged between 22 and 30. Histopathological examination revealed the presence of typical parasitic granulomatous inflammatory foci. Immunohistochemical staining showed that most common in the periphery of the parasite cysts were, in descending order by cell number, GFAP, CD163, CD3, and CD79α-positive cells.
Conclusion: The study confirms the role of cellular defence mechanisms in the pathogenesis of infection in sheep.

The occurrence of neurogenic tumors in the tracheobronchial tree is uncommon. We report a case of transmural tracheal schwannoma with extraluminal component extending upto the left thyroid lobe. 40-year-old male presented with scanty hemoptysis due to transmural tracheal schwannoma with extraluminal part of tumor extending till the left lobe of thyroid gland.

Background: Thyroid hormone deficiencies can disrupt organ functions, significantly impacting the cardiovascular system. Recently, the effects of thyroid hormones on the heart have garnered increased attention. However, most studies are conducted on humans using clinical data, while cellular-level and experimental studies remain limited.

Background: A fundamental tenet of the hygiene theory is the inverse association between helminth infections and the emergence of immune-mediated diseases. Research has been done to clarify the processes by which helminth-derived molecules can inhibit immunological disorders. This study aimed to evaluate the ability of Trichinella spiralis chitinase (Ts-chit) to ameliorate the symptoms of allergic airway inflammation.

Lymph node metastasis significantly affects the NSCLC patients' staging, treatment strategy, and prognosis. Studies have shown that IGF2BP3, an oncofetal protein and an m6A reader, overexpresses and correlates to lymph node metastasis and worse overall survival in histopathological studies including NSCLC, but its mechanism needs further study. This study explored IGF2BP3's function and mechanism in LUAD lymphatic metastasis using public databases, a human LUAD tissue microarray, human LUAD cells, and a lymphatic metastasis model in male BALB/c nude mice.

Hepato-intestinal schistosomiasis is characterized by severe pathological changes at advanced chronic stages, including granulomatous lesions and liver fibrosis. The objective of our research was to assess the dynamic expression of profibrotic molecules, the transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-β1), and proinflammatory cytokines immunomodulation induced by interleukin 17 (IL-17) neutralization in murine Schistosomiasis mansoni. The study included 56 specific pathogen-free male C57BL/6 mice, divided into 3 main groups: GI uninfected normal controls, GII S.
