Background: Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a prevalent condition characterized by dysregulated brain-gut interactions. Despite its widespread impact, the brain mechanism of IBS remains incompletely understood, and there is a lack of objective diagnostic criteria and biomarkers. This study aims to investigate brain network alterations in IBS patients using the functional connectivity strength (FCS) method and to develop a support vector machine (SVM) classifier for distinguishing IBS patients from healthy controls (HCs).

Background: Diabetic nephropathy (DN), the most severe microvascular consequence of diabetes mellitus (DM), is the precursor to end-stage renal disease (ESRD). The development of problems linked to DN involves both oxidative damage and inflammation. Natural flavone acacetin (AC) has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-cancer properties.

Background: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common gastrointestinal disease. Recently, an increasing number of studies have shown that Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), widely distributed on the surface of a variety of epithelial cells (ECs) and immune sentinel cells in the gut, plays a vital role in developing IBS.
Objectives: We sought to synthesize the existing literature on TLR4 in IBS and inform further study.

Globally, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain the leading cause of death, and their prevention and treatment continue to face major challenges. Oxylipins, as novel circulating markers of cardiovascular disease, are crucial mediators linking cardiovascular risk factors such as inflammation and platelet activation, and they play an important role in unraveling cardiovascular pathogenesis and therapeutic mechanisms. Chinese herbal medicine plays an important role in the adjuvant treatment of cardiovascular diseases, which has predominantly focused on the key pathways of classic lipids, inflammation, and oxidative stress to elucidate the therapeutic mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases.

Objective: To explore whether acupuncture combined with clomiphene can reduce the luteinizing hormone-to follicle-stimulating hormone ratio and impact the gut microbiota in patients with obese polycystic ovary syndrome.
Methods: This open-label, randomized, parallel-group controlled trial included 86 women aged 20-40 years with obese polycystic ovary syndrome and 19 healthy controls. Participants were randomly assigned to either an acupuncture combined with clomiphene group or a clomiphene-only group, with a healthy control group for comparison.
