We consider current statistics for a two-species exclusion process of particles hopping in opposite directions on a one-dimensional lattice. We derive an exact formula for the Green's function as well as for a joint current distribution of the model, and study its long time behavior. For a step-type initial condition, we show that the limiting distribution is a product of the Gaussian and the Gaussian unitary ensemble Tracy-Widom distributions. This is the first analytic confirmation for a multicomponent system of a prediction from the recently proposed nonlinear fluctuating hydrodynamics for one-dimensional systems.

Miniature robots are useful during disaster response and accessing remote or unsafe areas. They need to navigate uneven terrains without supervision and under severe resource constraints such as limited compute, storage and power budget. Event-based sensorimotor control in edge robotics has potential to enable fully autonomous and adaptive robot navigation systems capable of responding to environmental fluctuations by learning new types of motion and real-time decision making to avoid obstacles.

The footwear market contains a wide variety of running shoe solutions aiming at optimizing performance and minimizing injuries. Stack height is one of the most highly discussed design features of running shoes, but its effects are not yet well understood. This study investigated the effects of different shoes differing mainly in their stack heights (High: 50 mm, Medium: 35 mm and Low: 27 mm) on running style and stability during treadmill running at 10 and 15 km/h.

In response to the difficulty in predicting the change of bolt preload when using torque method to load bolt, this paper proposes a bolt preload prediction method based on mechanism and data fusion calculation for hexagonal end face bolt, and establishes a tightening prediction model based on machine learning method. Firstly, a tightening mechanism model is established, revealing the reasons why bolt preload is difficult to predict and errors cannot be eliminated. Secondly, sensitivity evaluation indicator is established to conduct parameter sensitivity analysis, and the fusion method of "mechanism model guiding data model to perform feature selection" is determined.

Rationale & Objective: The impact of the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) slope on the progression of heart failure (HF) remains unclear. This study investigated the association of eGFR slope and the occurrence of incident HF in older adults either at elevated risk for HF or with cardiac abnormalities (structural, hemodynamic, or biomarker) (pre-HF).
Study Design: Prospective cohort study.

Neural circuits comprise multiple interconnected regions, each with complex dynamics. The interplay between local and global activity is thought to underlie computational flexibility, yet the structure of multiregion neural activity and its origins in synaptic connectivity remain poorly understood. We investigate recurrent neural networks with multiple regions, each containing neurons with random and structured connections.
