The development of new cornelian cherry cultivars with stronger antidiabetic properties than those of previously studied L. extracts is essential. Accordingly, the aim of the present study was to assess the biological effects of fruit extracts derived from the 'Uholok' and 'Koralovyi' cultivars of and mix of two hybrids of × ('Jerzy' and 'Tomasz' cultivars) in rats with streptozotocin-induced diabetes mellitus.

The suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) regulates circadian rhythms and influences physiological and behavioral processes. Disruptions in circadian rhythms (CRD) are observed in type 2 diabetes (T2D), and importantly, CRD acts as an independent risk factor for T2D and its associated complications. BMAL1, a circadian clock gene, is vital for sustaining an optimal circadian rhythm and physiological function.

Background: Preeclampsia is a complex pregnancy condition marked by hypertension and organ dysfunction, posing significant risks to maternal and fetal health. This study investigates the role of energy metabolism-associated genes in preeclampsia development and identifies potential early diagnostic biomarkers.
Methods: Preeclampsia datasets from Gene Expression Omnibus were analyzed for batch correction, normalization, and differential expression.

Purpose: Accurate quantification of metabolism in hyperpolarized (HP) C MRI is essential for clinical applications. However, kinetic model parameters are often confounded by uncertainties in radiofrequency flip angles and other model parameters.
Methods: A data-driven kinetic fitting approach for HP C-pyruvate MRI was proposed that compensates for uncertainties in the B field.
