We studied the effect of chronic injections of serotonin reuptake inhibitor fluoxetine to rats during pregnancy on physiological and behavioral characteristics of female offspring during the prepubertal period. Fluoxetine reduced body weight in newborn females, but this parameter was restored to normal values by the age of 25 days. Fluoxetine also increased animal anxiety, but did not change the level of depressive behavior and cognitive capacities. It was shown that chronic injections of physiological solution to pregnant female enhanced nociceptive responses in the offspring during the prepubertal period, while fluoxetine neutralized the consequences of invasive intervention, which was expressed in a lower level of pain reaction in the offspring. This indicates the antinociceptive effect of fluoxetine.

Background: Lateral epicondylitis is caused by overuse and manifests as pain, weakness, and difficulty with object manipulation. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and dextrose injections have shown promise in reducing pain and improving function.

Hypothesis: PRP is more effective for force precision control of the extensor carpi radialis brevis (ECRB) muscle than dextrose injection for patients with chronic lateral epicondylitis (CLE).

Background: Neuregulin (NRG) family is involved in energy metabolism, among which NRG1 is a neuregulin proved to play a protective role in MAFLD cells. But the presice echanism has not been fully illustrated. This study aimed to investigate the role of NRG1 via the ERK/SIRT1 signaling in the pathogenesis of MAFLD.

Introduction: Although it is believed that chronic inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the central nervous system are mediated by autoimmune Th17 cells, the underlying mechanisms remain largely unexplored. Recent studies and our research have revealed that Sp3 was blocked in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients and experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE). However, it remained unclear why it is silent and how it regulates Th17 cell differentiation in MS.

Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory condition mainly caused by the interaction between the host immune system and periodontal tissue pathogens, and may lead to consequences, such as alveolar bone defects and tooth loss. Incomplete bacterial removal, persistent inflammation and high reactive oxygen species (ROS) environment are the main challenges for periodontal tissue repair and alveolar bone regeneration. In this study, an injectable composite microgel (Gelatin methacryloyl-Phenylboronic acid/Hydroxyadamantane, GPH) loaded with antimicrobial peptide (AMP) and cerium dioxide (CeO) microspheres was developed to achieve a synergistic function of bacteriostasis, immunomodulation, and ROS removal.

Chronic pain and depression exhibit a high comorbidity, are challenging to manage, and their pathophysiology mechanisms are intricated and closely related to the up-regulation of pro-inflammatory response and oxidative stress. Chronic pain and depression often coexist and present significant management challenges. Their underlying pathophysiological mechanisms are complex and closely linked to the up-regulation of pro-inflammatory responses and oxidative stress.
