Graphene aerogels demonstrate significant potential as highly efficient adsorbents due to their high specific surface area, excellent structural tunability and outstanding chemical stability. Among available fabrication methods, the hydrothermal self-assembly technique stands out for its low cost, high tunability and good scalability.
