(1) Background: To develop a novel capillary refill time measurement system and evaluate its reliability and reproducibility. (2) Methods: Firstly, the utilization of electromagnetic pressure technology facilitates the automatic compression and instantaneous release of the finger. Secondly, the employment of pressure sensing technology and photoelectric volumetric pulse wave analysis technology enables the dynamic monitoring of blood flow in distal tissues.

Background: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a prevalent yet underdiagnosed condition associated with a major healthcare burden. Current diagnostic tools, such as full-night polysomnography (PSG), pose a limited accessibility to diagnosis due to their elevated costs. Recent advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI), including Machine Learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) algorithms, offer novel potential tools for an accurate OSA screening and diagnosis.

: Hemoglobin (Hb) is a crucial parameter in perioperative care due to its essential role for oxygen transport and tissue oxygenation. Accurate Hb monitoring allows for timely interventions to address perioperative anemia and, thus, prevent morbidity and mortality. Traditional Hb measurements rely on invasive blood sampling, which significantly contributes to iatrogenic anemia and poses discomfort and increased infection risks.

Background: Pulse oximetry has not been thoroughly evaluated for assessment of oxygenation in conscious foals. Compared with invasive arterial blood sampling, it is a painless and non-invasive method for real-time monitoring of blood oxygen saturation. The aim of this prospective clinical study was to evaluate the usability, validity, and reliability of pulse oximetry at two measuring sites (lip and caudal abdominal skin fold) for blood oxygen saturation measurement in conscious foals with and without respiratory compromise.

Background: This study aimed to enhance the scope of neonatal congenital heart disease (CHD) screening by evaluating the effectiveness of training personnel in CHD screening using the "dual-index" method, combining pulse oximetry with cardiac murmur auscultation.
Methods: From 2019 to 2022, a total of 2374 screening personnel from the Xinjiang, Yunnan, Hainan, Fujian, and Anhui provinces underwent training in neonatal CHD screening using the "dual-index" method, which involves pulse oximetry and cardiac murmur auscultation. Pre- and post-training assessments were conducted using a neonatal CHD screening knowledge questionnaire, distributed through the Questionnaire Star platform, to evaluate the impact of the training.
