Published: June 2018

The present study employed a next-generation sequencing method to assemble a transcriptome database designed to distinguish gene expression changes exhibited by the fumonisin-producing fungus when grown under 'fumonisin-producing' compared to 'non-fumonisin-producing' conditions. The raw data of this study have been deposited at DNA Data Bank of Japan (DDBJ) under the accession ID DRA006146.

Forests face an escalating threat from the increasing frequency of extreme drought events driven by climate change. To address this challenge, it is crucial to understand how widely distributed species of economic or ecological importance may respond to drought stress. In this study, we examined the transcriptome of white spruce (Picea glauca (Moench) Voss) to identify key genes and metabolic pathways involved in the species' response to water stress.

CALB1 and RPL23 Are Essential for Maintaining Oocyte Quality and Function During Aging.

Aging Cell

With advancing age, significant changes occur in the female reproductive system, the most notable of which is the decline in oocyte quality, a key factor affecting female fertility. However, the mechanisms underlying oocyte aging remain poorly understood. In this study, we obtained oocytes from aged and young female mice and performed single-cell transcriptome sequencing, comparing our findings with existing proteomic analyses.

Patient-derived tumor organoids (PDTOs) models have been widely used to investigate the response of primary cancer tissues to anti-cancer agents. Nonetheless, only few case study tried to establish PDTOs and test treatment response based on bone metastasis (BoM) tissues. Fresh BoM tissues were obtained from lung cancer (LC) patients who underwent spinal metastatic tumor surgery for PDTOs culture.

Inspired by the fundamental attribute of chirality in nature, chiral-engineered biomaterials now represent a groundbreaking frontier in biomedical fields. However, the integration of chirality within inorganic materials remains a critical challenge and developments of chirality-induced bionic bone implants are still in infancy. In this view, novel chiral hydroxyapatite (CHA) coated Ti alloys are successfully synthesized by a sophisticated chiral molecule-induced self-assembly method for the first time.
