Penicillenol A2 (isolated from deep-sea fungus DFFSCS023) has good antibacterial activity against methicillin-sensitive and in combination with -lactam antibiotics it could significantly decrease methicillin-resistant (MRSA) survival, which provides a novel treatment consideration for MRSA-caused infections.
