The percentage of practicing female plastic surgeons in the United States is notably low. This narrative review sought to identify prominent barriers affecting women's entry and success in plastic surgery. A literature search was conducted using the National Library of Medicine from 2013 to 2023, using MeSH terms of gender disparity and plastic surgery.

The transition from traditional teaching to mentoring in medical education is urgently required to create future-ready physicians, researchers, and medical teachers in India. A roadmap was drawn by the pioneers of modern medicine more than 100 years ago, who mentored and prepared the next generation of subspecialists and teachers. We need mentors rather than conventional teachers to inspire students to dream, learn, and grow.

Methods: A 57- item self-administered online survey questionnaire was distributed to all faculty members.
Results: 225 faculty members completed the survey (24%).

Cervical cancer continues to disproportionately burden women in sub-Saharan Africa, and is the commonest gynecological cancer in Ghana. The Cervical Cancer Prevention and Training Centre (CCPTC), Battor, Ghana spearheaded the Ghana arm of the mPharma 10,000 Women Initiative (mTTWI) between September 2021 and October 2022. The aim of this study was to examine the outcomes of nationwide concurrent screening using high-risk human papillomavirus (hr-HPV) DNA testing and visual inspection methods, as well as factors associated with the screening outcomes.

Objectives: We describe the development, delivery, and evaluation of a program to support junior professionals to publish their work in a scientific journal.
Study Design: Conference delegates with an accepted abstract at the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP), self-identifying as junior professionals and from a low- or middle-income country (LMIC) or working predominantly in LMIC settings, were eligible for the program. The program involved: (i) Four face-to-face workshops at ICFP from the 14 to 17 of November 2022; (ii) mentoring meetings at ICFP; (iii) a six-month post-conference online coaching program; and (iv) post-conference learning webinars from December 2022 to May 2023.
