This research presents a method based on deep learning for the reverse design of sound-absorbing structures. Traditional methods require time-consuming individual numerical simulations followed by cumbersome calculations, whereas the deep learning design method significantly simplifies the design process, achieving efficient and rapid design objectives. By utilizing deep neural networks, a mapping relationship between structural parameters and the sound absorption coefficient curve is established.

System-level wearable electronics require to be flexible to ensure conformal contact with the skin, but they also need to integrate rigid and bulky functional components to achieve system-level functionality. As one of integration methods, folding integration offers simplified processing and enhanced functionality through rigid-soft region separation, but so far, it has mainly been applied to modality of electrical sensing and stimulation. This paper introduces a vialess heterogeneous skin patch with multi modalities that separates the soft region and strain-robust region through folded structure.

Objective: Although FibroScan (FS), based on Vibration-Controlled Transient Elastography (VCTE), is a widely used non-invasive device for assessing liver fibrosis and steatosis, its current standard-VCTE examination remains timely and difficult on patients with obesity. The Guided-VCTE examination uses continuous shear waves to locate the liver by providing a real-time predictive indicator for shear wave propagation and uses shear wave maps averaging to increase the signal-to-noise ratio in difficult to assess patients. We aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the new indicator, as well as compare examination times and success rates with both standard-VCTE and Guided-VCTE examinations.

Background: The migration of healthcare professionals is common phenomenon and shows upwards trends. Poland, which used to be a source country with marginal immigration, has in the past few years received more immigrants due to the simplified access to the labour market for professionals from outside the European Union. We aimed to analyse the immigration of healthcare workforce to Poland with an emphasis on legislative changes regarding the right to practice of medical personnel from outside the EU (mainly from Ukraine).

Existing systems for predicting MT need in trauma patients have not been systematically evaluated for their relevance to the geriatric population. This study aimed to evaluate the predictive accuracy of initial vital signs and the Glasgow coma scale (GCS) in geriatric trauma patients for predicting MT.
