Aim: Charcot foot (CF) is a rare complication of Type 2 diabetes (T2D).
Materials & Methods: We assessed circulating miRNAs in 17 patients with T2D and acute CF (G1), 17 patients with T2D (G2) and equivalent neuropathy and 17 patients with T2D without neuropathy (G3) using the high-throughput miRNA expression profiling.
Results: 51 significantly deregulated miRNAs were identified in G1 versus G2, 37 in G1 versus G3 and 64 in G2 versus G3. Furthermore, we demonstrated that 16 miRNAs differentially expressed between G1 versus G2 could be involved in osteoclastic differentiation. Among them, eight are key factors involved in CF pathophysiology.
Conclusion: Our data reveal that CF patients exhibit an altered expression profile of circulating miRNAs.

Background: It has been revealed that the potential utility of the triglycerides and glucose (TyG) index as an effective option for assessing glycemic control; however, evidence in this field is still scarce.
Aims: The goal of this study was to investigate the diagnostic accuracy of the TyG index, as an alternative option, to detect inadequate glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D).
Methods: Men and women between 30 and 60 years of age diagnosed with type 2 diabetes were included in a cross-sectional study.

Patients with diabetes are at increased risk of HBV infection; however, the effects of HBV infection and anti-HBV therapy on the management of type 1 diabetes (T1D), type 2 diabetes (T2D), and latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA) remain unclear. From 2016 to 2023, we recruited a multicenter cohort of 355 HBV-infected inpatients, including 136 with T1D, 140 with T2D, and 79 with LADA. The control group included 525 HBV-uninfected inpatients, comparing 171 with T1D, 204 with T2D and 150 with LADA.

Agonists which bind and stimulate multiple receptors have shown particular promise. However, off target effects, including nausea and diarrhoea, remain a complication of using these agents, and modified versions with optimized pharmacological profiles and/or biased signaling at the cognate receptors are increasingly sought.

Human insulin has long been known to form amyloid fibrils under various conditions, which affects its bioavailability and function. Clinically, insulin aggregation at recurrent injection sites poses a challenge for diabetic patients who rely on insulin therapy.

Objective: To explore the effect of seeds powder { 500 mg} capsule in diabetes Type-2 (T2DM) patients in Karachi.
Methods: A randomized selection of 40 T2DM patients from Sindh Government Hospital New Karachi with their consents was done for a non-blinded controlled trial from October to December 2019 and divided into P (Positive Control, metformin 500 mg) & T (Test, + was also included, using the same dosage of CapCASP on twenty healthy volunteers. The data were analyzed using an online graph pad student's t-test and a one-way ANOVA (SPSS version 24) metformin 500mg each).
