Digital dermatitis (DD) is a skin infection of cattle's feet with multiple bacteria suspected to be involved, yet its precise etiopathogenesis remains unclear. This longitudinal study explored the temporal changes of seven DD-associated bacteria in feet developing lesions or remaining healthy, while simultaneously investigating their persistence in potential reservoirs as sources of infection. Weekly swabs were collected from feet skin and saliva of 53 Holstein cows without DD lesions sequentially enrolled at calving in a commercial dairy herd.

Background Objectives: This study was compared the Borrelia antibodies and chemokine ligand 13 (CXCL13) levels in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples from cases diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS), radiologically isolated syndrome (RIS), and pseudotumour cerebri (PTC).
Methods: A total of 43 CSF samples were collected from patients diagnosed with RRMS, RIS and PTC. We prospectively investigated Borrelia IgG and IgM antibodies in the CSF samples of the cases by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and Western blot (WB) method, and CXCL13 levels by ELISA.

: Chronic low-grade inflammation occurs in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and there are many contributing factors. In this study, we aimed to investigate and infections in patients with PCOS and to evaluate the association between these microorganisms and the inflammatory process in the etiology of the disease. : This comparative cross-sectional clinical study was conducted at Balıkesir University Hospital and included 40 female patients diagnosed with PCOS in the gynecology outpatients clinic and 40 healthy female controls.

- The study aimed to explore the relationship between Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and two conditions: Oral Lichen Planus (OLP), an immune system disease, and Oral Lichenoid Contact Lesions (OLCL), an allergic reaction to dental materials.
- A total of 60 participants, including 20 with OLCL, 23 with OLP, and 20 healthy controls, underwent biopsies, saliva, and blood tests to detect the presence of EBV DNA using Real-time PCR.
- Results revealed that EBV DNA was somewhat present in both OLP and OLCL patients, with no significant difference noted compared to the control group, suggesting more research is needed to clarify EBV's role in these conditions
