Infrasound widely exists in nature, our living condition, productive and traffic environment. Gastrointestinal tract is relatively sensitive to infrasound. However, the effect of infrasound on gastrointestinal function is unclear. Therefore, the purpose of our study was to observe the effects of infrasound on gastric motility and gastric morphology and to assess the expression of nitric oxide synthase (NOS) in gastric antrum after exposure to infrasound of 8 Hz - 130 dB for 2 hours per day for 14 consecutive days. Gastric motility was assessed by gastric fluid-emptying rate. Gastric morphology was evaluated by HE. The expression of NOS was measured by tissue microarray technology. The results would contribute to understand the role of infrasound in gastroenterology, and help to explain the mechanism of infrasound on gastroenterology.

Trophoblast glycoprotein (TPBG) plays a significant part in the growth of specific cancers, yet its connection to gastric cancer (GC) remains uncertain. This research seeks to analyse the fluctuation in TPBG levels in GC and evaluate how TPBG expression relates to the prognosis of GC patients. TPBG expression in GC and normal gastric tissues was investigated in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) database, further extracting the immunohistochemistry images from HPA database and validating by Western blot.

Background: Gastric cancer (GC) is an important cause of death. Molecular targeted therapy and immunotherapy are progressing rapidly. It is very important to explore the pathogenesis pathways of GC and provide strong support for its treatment.

The N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification serves as an essential epigenetic regulator in eukaryotic cells, playing a significant role in tumorigenesis and cancer progression. However, the detailed biological functions and underlying mechanisms of m6A regulation in gastric cancer (GC) are poorly understood. Our research revealed that the m6A demethylase ALKBH5 was markedly downregulated in GC tissues, which was associated with poor patient prognosis.

This optimizes drug efficacy and minimizes systemic side effects.

Background And Aims: Several studies have hypothesized that sparing the oblique/sling fibers during posterior peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) may reduce the incidence of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and reflux esophagitis without compromising the established safety and efficacy of the procedure. This study compares perioperative, postoperative motility-related, and postoperative GERD-related outcomes between posterior oblique/sling fibers-sparing POEM (OFS-POEM) and conventional posterior POEM through a pairwise meta-analysis of comparative studies.
Methods: We conducted a systematic literature review following PRISMA guidelines to identify articles directly comparing posterior OFS-POEM with conventional posterior POEM.
