For the first time, the possibility of using stripping voltammetry for the simultaneous determination of aflatoxins В and М on a glassy-carbon electrode has been shown. The influence of various factors (, , , and the nature of the background electrolyte) on the potential and magnitude of the oxidation current of mycotoxins has been estimated. Working conditions for voltammetric determination and reproducibility of analytical signals for two mycotoxins have been selected. The mutual influence of aflatoxins В and М on the value of analytical signals in their simultaneous presence has been studied. It has been found that, in the range of their detectable contents, the presence of aflatoxin В reduces the analytical signal of aflatoxin М by 45-50%, but the linearity of the calibration dependence is preserved. The content of aflatoxin М in determination of aflatoxin B does not exert a significant effect in the range of 10-15%. Based on the results obtained, a procedure has been proposed for determining the content of aflatoxins В and М in their joint presence in milk by voltammetry in the concentration ranges 2 × 10 ÷ 2 × 10 mg/dm and 2 × 10 ÷ 2 × 10 mg/dm, respectively (Sr not more than 18%).

An innovative magnetic immunoassay was developed for the voltammetric detection of carbohydrate antigen-125 (CA-125) on a home-made microfluidic device including a multisyringe pump, selection valve and magneto-controlled detection cell. Two kinds of biofunctionalized nanostructures including anti-CA-125 capture antibody-conjugated magnetic beads and anti-CA-125 detection antibody-labeled silver-polypyrrole (Ag-PPy) nanohybrids were utilized for a sandwiched immunoreaction in the presence of CA-125. With the help of an external magnet, the formed magnetic immunocomplexes were attached to the sensing interface to activate the electrical contact between Ag-PPy nanohybrids and the base electrode, thus resulting in the switching on of the sensor circuit for the generation of voltammetric signals thanks to electroactive Ag-PPy nanohybrids.

Heavy metals and metalloids are the most common environmental pollutants. Toxicity characteristic leaching procedure (TCLP) is a standard operating procedure that is used to assess heavy metal and metalloid compositions, and evaluate the hazardous nature of waste and waste-derived materials for reuse or disposal, such as determining landfill suitability. However, TCLP and the following detections are time-consuming and require bulky laboratory-based instruments and trained personnel.

In the present study, a novel voltammetric sensor based on a boron-doped copper oxide/graphene (B-CuO-Gr) nanocomposite and molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) was developed for the detection of paclobutrazol (PAC) in apple and orange juice samples. The B-CuO-Gr nanocomposite was prepared using sol-gel and calcination methods. After modifying glassy carbon electrodes with the B-CuO-Gr nanocomposite, PAC-imprinted electrodes were prepared in the presence of 100.

Due to their lipophilicity and low content, the major sesame oleosin allergens, Ses i 4 and Ses i 5, are challenging to identify using conventional techniques. Then, a novel unlabeled electrochemical immunosensor was developed to detect the potential allergic activity of sesame oleosins. The voltammetric immunosensor was constructed using a composite of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), polyethyleneimine (PEI), and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), which was synthesized in a one-pot process and modified onto a glass carbon electrode to enhance the catalytic current of the oxygen reduction reaction.

Cyclic voltammetry (CV) can be applied as a reliable method for the determination of chloride ions in a range from several to a couple hundred (about 200) ppm. Since the standard potential of chloride ion/gaseous chlorine is 1.36 V vs.
