Background: Preventing unwanted pregnancies, achieving optimal child spacing, and improving quality of life are benefits of modern family planning (FP). This study aimed to assess modern FP use, identify the factors influencing its use and determine the barriers to FP use among women of reproductive age.

Methods: A mixed-methods approach was conducted in the Iringa Region between March and July 2022.

Challenges and opportunities in 2D materials for high-performance aqueous ammonium ion batteries.

Natl Sci Rev

Engineering Research Center of Advanced Functional Material Manufacturing of Ministry of Education, School of Chemical Engineering, Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou 450001, China.

Aqueous ammonium ion batteries (AAIBs) have attracted considerable attention due to their high safety and rapid diffusion kinetics. Unlike spherical metal ions, NH forms hydrogen bonds with host materials, leading to a unique storage mechanism. A variety of electrode materials have been proposed for AAIBs, but their performance often falls short in terms of future energy storage needs.

Nickel-rich cobalt-free layered oxide cathode with Ni contents no fewer than 90 % has received extensive attention in the field of lithium-ion batteries due to its excellent specific capacity and low cost, but serious capacity degeneration induced by structural deterioration and interfacial instability greatly hamper their further development. Herein, the Sb-modified LiNiMnO materials from the interface to interior have been designed and fabricated to overcome the above issues. On the one hand, the introduction of Sb-ion in interior of grains can generate Sb-O chemical bond with high dissociation energy, which contributes to reinforce the chemical and structural stability.

Introduction: The World Health Organization (WHO) has emphasized the importance of ensuring respectful and dignified childbirth experiences. However, many countries, including Rwanda, have documented negative experiences during childbirth. Identifying best practices can help uncover sustainable solutions for resource-limited settings rather than focusing solely on the challenges and negative aspects.

TPX2 is an elongated molecule containing multiple α-helical repeats. It stabilizes microtubules (MTs), promotes MT nucleation, and is essential for spindle assembly. However, the molecular basis of how TPX2 performs these functions remains elusive.
