The data of this article represent a real electricity distribution network on twenty kilovolts (20 kV) at medium voltage level of the Hellenic electricity distribution system [1]. This network has been chosen as suitable for smart grid analysis. It demonstrates moderate penetration of renewable sources and it has capability in part of time for reverse power flows. It is suitable for studies of load aggregation, storage, demand response. It represents a rural line of fifty-five kilometres (55 km) total length, a typical length for this type. It serves forty-five (45) medium to low voltage transformers and twenty-four (24) connections to photovoltaic plants. The total installed load capacity is twelve mega-volt-ampere (12 MVA), however the maximum observed load is lower. The data are ready to perform load flow simulation on Matpower [2] for the maximum observed load power on the half production for renewables. The simulation results and processed data for creating the source code are also provided on the database available at http://dx.doi.org/10.7910/DVN/1I6MKU.

The heating oil circuit plays an essential role in the heating calendering roller for the lithium battery pole piece. To achieve the optimization of the heating oil circuit, a fluid-thermal-structural coupling method and a multi-objective optimization procedure are proposed to obtain the optimal solution. A fluid-thermal-structural coupling flowchart based on the numerical modeling for the calendering roller temperature distribution is created to automate the analysis processes in the optimization iteration.

Heparin concentration c in a blood extracorporeal circulation has been real-timely predicted based on the relaxation strength Δε at relaxation frequency f extracted by relaxation time distribution (RTD). The simulated extracorporeal circulation was conducted to optimize the number of Δε for the prediction of c using the porcine whole blood (WB) and low-leukocyte and -platelet blood (LLPB) under the condition of the gradual increment of c from 0 to 8 U/mL with constant flow rate and blood temperature. The experimental results show that among the three relaxation strengths Δε, Δε and Δε (in ascending order of frequency), Δε at f = 5.

Background And Objectives: Hypertensive Retinopathy (HR) is a retinal manifestation resulting from persistently elevated blood pressure. Severity grading of HR is essential for patient risk stratification, effective management, progression monitoring, timely intervention, and minimizing the risk of vision impairment. Computer-aided diagnosis and artificial intelligence (AI) systems play vital roles in the diagnosis and grading of HR.

In this research, poly(lactic acid) (PLA) nanocomposites with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) were produced by extrusion, injection, and compression molding, focusing on electromagnetic shielding. Various amounts of carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were tested in PLA matrix, specifically ranging from 1 to 4 parts per hundred resin (phr). The resulting nanocomposites were analyzed before and after undergoing annealing heat treatment.

Numerical Simulation of Airflow Organization in Vulcanization Tanks for Waste Tires.

Polymers (Basel)

January 2025

College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Qingdao University, Qingdao 266071, China.

Currently, in the domestic practice of retreading tires using vulcanization tanks, some tanks exhibit uneven temperature distributions leading to low retreading success rates. To address that, this paper simulated the temperature and velocity fields during the heating process of vulcanization tanks for waste tire retreading. The results indicated that a higher heating power reduces the time required for the vulcanizing agent to reach the vulcanization condition, but it also increases the difference in tire temperature in the tank, with a severely uneven distribution of the temperature field.
