The relatively low representation of admixed populations in both discovery and fine-tuning individual-level datasets limits polygenic risk score (PRS) development and equitable clinical translation for admixed populations. Under the assumption that the most informative PRS weight for a homogeneous sample varies linearly in an ancestry continuum space, we introduce a Genetic tance-assisted PRS mbination Pipeline for erse Genetic ncestrie ( ) to interpolate a harmonized PRS for diverse, especially admixed, ancestries, leveraging multiple PRS weights fine-tuned within single-ancestry samples and genetic distance. DiscoDivas treats ancestry as a continuous variable and does not require shifting between different models when calculating PRS for different ancestries.

Fruit firmness is an important trait for characterizing the quality and value of apple. It also serves as an indicator of fruit maturity, as it is a complex trait regulated by multiple genes. Resequencing techniques can be employed to elucidate variations in such complex fruit traits.

The ecophysiological and ecohydrological impacts of climate change and progressively increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO) concentration on agroecosystems are not well understood compared to the forest ecosystems. In this study, we utilized the presence of old apple and pear trees in the alpine valleys of Northern Italy (maintained for cultural heritage purposes) to investigate climate-scale physiological responses. We developed long-term tree-ring stable isotopic records (δC and δO) from apple (1976-2021) and pear trees (1943-2021).

The recurrence of atrial fibrillation (AF) in patients after successful radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) appears to be an unresolved clinical issue and needs to be clearly elucidated. There are many factors associated with AF recurrence, such as duration of AF, male sex, concomitant heart failure, hemodynamic parameters, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hypertension, obstructive sleep apnea, hyperthyroidism, smoking and obesity. However, the inflammatory changes are strongly associated with electrical and structural cardiac remodeling, cardiac damage, myocardial fibrotic changes, microvascular dysfunction and altered reparative response.

Objective: This study aimed to qualitatively study the main chemical components of apple peel in APORT, Kazakhstan, by ultra-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS) and to compare the components of apple peels with different provenances.

Methods: An ACQUITY UPLC HSS T3 (100 mm × 2.1 mm, 1.
