Background: The management of vulval disorders in Genitourinary Medicine (GUM) clinics requires targeted approaches due to the wide range of conditions affecting the vulva. Vulval diseases encompass various aetiologies, including dermatoses, pain syndromes, and pre-malignant conditions, necessitating specialized care often involving multidisciplinary collaboration.
Purpose: This guideline aims to provide evidence-based recommendations for the diagnosis and management of specific vulval conditions that may present in GUM clinics.
Follicular porokeratosis (FPK) is a rare subtype of porokeratosis. Follicular porokeratosis mainly occurs in men and may be localized or diffuse. Involvement of the scalp is rarely reported, and we found only one case of alopecia due to scalp FPK.

Introduction: Tapinarof is a topical aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) agonist in development for the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD). In two phase 3 trials (ADORING 1 and 2), tapinarof cream 1% once daily (QD) demonstrated significant efficacy and was well tolerated in patients down to age 2 years with AD. Here, we evaluate patient-reported outcomes (PROs), including family impact, with tapinarof in ADORING 1 and 2.

Skin inflammation represents a hallmark of many skin conditions, from psoriasis to eczema. Here, we present a novel microemulsion formulation for delivering a low dose of potent immunosuppressant, tacrolimus, to the skin for local inflammation control. The efficacy of topically delivered tacrolimus in controlling skin inflammation can be enhanced by packaging it into microemulsions.

Special areas of involvement in psoriasis include the scalp region, the palms and soles, genital areas, as well as intertriginous sites. The involvement of these topographical regions is associated with important physical and emotional implications, resulting in reduced quality of life, social isolation, and work disability. Palms and soles can be affected as part of the generalized form of psoriasis or can be exclusively affected as palmo-plantar psoriasis.
