Background: Endobronchial tumors can infiltrate the bronchial wall or protrude into the bronchial lumen, causing post-obstructive pneumonia (POP). Differentiating between POP and community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) is challenging due to similar clinical, laboratory, and imaging findings, which can delay the diagnosis and treatment of endobronchial tumors.
Methods: We compared general demographic information, laboratory test results, lung CT images, bronchoscopic observations, pathological findings between the POP group and the CAP group.

Purpose: Bronchiectasis is associated with loss of lung function, substantial use of health care resources, and increased morbidity and mortality in people with cardiopulmonary diseases. We assessed the frequency of progression or new development of bronchiectasis and predictors of progression in participants in low-dose computed tomography (CT) screening programs.
Materials And Methods: We reviewed our prospectively enrolled screening cohort in the Early Lung and Cardiac Action Program cohort of smokers, aged 40 to 90, between 2010 and 2019, and medical records to assess the progression of bronchiectasis after five or more years of follow-up after baseline low-dose CT.

Different from intrabronchial mucus accumulation in bronchiectasis caused by chronic inflammation, mucoid impactions are observed in patients with allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) and bronchial asthma. A 62-year-old man was referred to our hospital for treatment of bronchial asthma. Five years ago, he had a coronary stent insertion for myocardial infarction and was diagnosed with bronchial asthma.

Introduction And Importance: Foreign body aspiration is a common occurrence, with severe outcomes seen in all age groups. It can present like any chronic respiratory disease with a wide spectrum of misleading symptoms, resulting in misdiagnosis and delays in appropriate treatment.
Case Presentation: Here we present a case of a 11 year boy diagnosed with occult foreign body aspiration, chronically impacted in the left secondary bronchus, presented with bronchiectasis and multiple failed attempts at bronchoscopic retrieval.

Unlabelled: Computed tomography (CT) is commonly used for paediatric thoracic diseases but involves radiation exposure and often requires intravenous contrast. We evaluated the performance of a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) protocol including a 3D zero echo time (3D-ZTE) sequence for radiation-free and contrast-free imaging of the paediatric chest. In this prospective, single-centre study, children aged 6-16 years underwent chest CT and MRI within 48 h.
