Plant pathogenic bacteria are responsible for a substantial number of plant diseases worldwide, resulting in significant economic losses. Bacteria are exposed to numerous stress factors during their epiphytic life and within the host. Their ability to survive in the host and cause symptomatic infections depends on their capacity to overcome stressors.

Acute myeloid leukemias (AMLs) comprise a group of genetically heterogeneous hematological malignancies that result in the abnormal growth of leukemic cells and halt the maturation process of normal hematopoietic stem cells. Despite using molecular and cytogenetic risk classification to guide treatment decisions, most AML patients survive for less than five years. A deeper comprehension of the disease's biology and the use of new, targeted therapy approaches could potentially increase cure rates.

Background: Many patients with a lower limb socket-suspended prothesis experience socket-related problems, such as pain, chronic skin conditions, and mechanical problems, and as a result, health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is often negatively affected. A bone-anchored prosthesis can overcome these problems and improve HRQoL, but these prostheses have potential downsides as well. A valid and reliable tool to assess potential candidates for surgery concerning a favorable risk-benefit ratio between potential complications related to bone-anchored prostheses and improvements in HRQoL is not available yet.

P21-activated kinase 4 (PAK4) plays a crucial role in the proliferation and metastasis of various cancers. However, developing selective PAK4 inhibitors remains challenging due to the high homology within the PAK family. Therefore, developing highly selective PAK4 inhibitors is critical to overcoming the limitations of existing inhibitors.
