The aim of this study is to investigate the distribution of IL-10, CD14 and CD68 in the tumor microenvironment of LSCC with the clinicopathologic factors. We detected the expressions of IL-10, CD14 and CD68 in 46 primary LSCC tumor tissues by immunohistochemistry staining and explore the relationship between them and clinicopathologic factors. We found that the expressions of IL-10, CD14 and CD68 were significantly correlated with clinical stage and T stage (<0.01). IL-10 and CD14 were correlated with lymph node metastasis (<0.01), and CD68 was correlated with pathological differentiation (<0.05). There is a positive correlation trend between the expression of IL-10 and CD14 (<0.01). We confirm that the high level expressions of IL-10, monocytes and TAMs contribute to the tumor development of LSCC and there is a positive correlation between the expression of IL-10 and monocytes.

Background: Macrophages play an important role in the pathogenesis of ulcerative colitis (UC). We will explore the effects of sodium butyrate (SB) on macrophage function.

Methods: The targets of butyric acid were identified using SwissTargetPrediction database and surface plasmon resonance (SPR).

Background: The Healthy Eating Index (HEI)-2015 measures diet quality and is associated with a lower risk of death from chronic disease. Dietary components may affect health via multiple mechanisms, including decreasing inflammation and affecting immune activation.

Objective: We hypothesized that the overall HEI-2015 score, or individual component scores, would be associated with altered inflammation and immune activation in healthy adults.

Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is a potent endotoxin released at high concentrations in acute infections, causing massive host inflammatory response. Accumulating evidence indicates that dysbiosis-associated chronic low levels of circulating LPS can sustain a prolonged sterile low-grade inflammation that increases the risk of several non-communicable diseases. Interventions aimed at increasing the abundance of beneficial/probiotic bacteria, including , result in reduced inflammation, favoring metabolic and immune health.

In recent years, modulation of microglial phenotype transformation has emerged as a promising strategy for treating central nervous system disorders. Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhishi), a traditional Chinese medicine with versatile applications, contains p-Synephrine (p-SYN) as its principal bioactive compound, recognized for its anti-inflammatory efficacy. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying these effects remain unclear.
