Objective: Febrile proteinuria is functional proteinuria and is seen as a transitory phenomenon during acute febrile illness, mainly viral infections. It is a benign phenomenon and clears promptly with resolution of the infection.
Clinical Presentation And Intervention: In this report, we present a patient who was thought to have febrile proteinuria. Persistence of significant proteinuria after resolution of the infection prompted biochemical and genetic workup which led to the diagnosis of Dent-2 disease.
Conclusion: We recommend the use of SDS-PAGE (sodium dodecyl sulfate electropheresis) for the detection of low molecular weight proteinuria.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a prevalent autoimmune condition worldwide resulting from the loss of tolerance against self-antigens. The constitutional symptoms of SLE are well-known, including fatigue, fever, myalgia, weight loss, arthralgia, arthritis, malar rash, and photosensitivity. These symptoms often overshadow the impacts SLE can have on all body systems, with the renal system frequently impacted.

Background: Polyarteritis nodosa (PAN) is a rare and serious form of systemic necrotizing vasculitis that predominantly affects medium and small-sized arteries, with central nervous system involvement being particularly uncommon. Treatment strategies are tailored according to the extent and severity of the disease. While conventional therapy includes glucocorticoids and conventional disease-modifying-rheumatic drugs (cDMARDs), biologic agents may be critical for severe and refractory cases.

Collapsing glomerulopathy (CG) has a severe course typically associated with viral infections, especially HIV and parvovirus B19, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), among other etiologies. A 35-year-old woman with recent use of a JAK inhibitor due to rheumatoid arthritis presented with a 2-week history of fever, cervical adenopathy, and facial erythema. After admission, anemia, hypoalbuminemia, proteinuria, and severe acute kidney injury were noted.

Background: Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) is a genetic disorder that can cause kidney damage. Shear wave elastography (SWE), a non-invasive method, was used to evaluate the decrease in renal tissue elasticity as a predictive parameter for amyloidosis. This study aimed to examine the changes in renal elasticity in patients with FMF using the renal SWE measurement method.
