In the title hydrated azo compound, CHNS·HO, the two aromatic groups are close to coplanar with the dihedral angle between the mean planes of the thia-zole and pyridine rings being 2.9 (2)°. The organic mol-ecule adopts an configuration with respect to the double bond of the azo bridge. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by (amine)N-H⋯N(pyridine), (amine)N-H⋯O(water) and (water)O-H⋯N(thia-zole) hydrogen bonds along with π-π inter-actions involving pairs of thia-zole rings and pairs of pyridine rings. The plane-to-plane distance between two parallel mol-ecules is 3.7856 (4) Å and corresponds to the length of the axis. In this way, a layer structure parallel to (010) is formed. The layers are linked by weak C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds, eventually resulting in a three-dimensional network.

A series of luminescent bis-cyclometalated iridium complexes with 2,2':6',2″-terpyridine (tpy), [Ir()(tpy)]PF ( = 2-phenylpyridinate (ppy) for ; benzo[h]quinolinate (bzq) for ; 1-phenylisoquinolinate (piq) for ; and 2-phenylbenzothiazolate (pbt) for ), have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses reveal that the tpy ligands of - are coordinated to the iridium center in a bidentate fashion, and the uncoordinated pendant pyridine rings in the tpy ligands of - form intramolecular π-π stacking interactions with a phenyl moiety of ligands. Two novel complexes, [Cu()Cl] and [Zn()Cl], were synthesized from 1,1'-[(3-fluoro-phen-yl)methyl-ene]bis-[3-(3-fluoro-phen-yl)imidazo[1,5-]pyridine] (), and copper(II) and zinc(II) chloride, respectively. The structures of these complexes were confirmed using ESI-MS, IR and H NMR spectra. The results reveal mononuclear structures in which the central metal atoms are coordinated by two N atoms from the imidazole rings and two Cl ligands.

BICSTaR (BICtegravir Single Tablet Regimen) is an ongoing, observational cohort study assessing the virologic effectiveness and safety of bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide (B/F/TAF) in treatment-experienced (TE) and treatment-naïve (TN) people with HIV across 14 countries over 24 months. We present 12-month outcomes from participants in the BICSTaR Japan cohort. Retrospective and prospective data were pooled from people with HIV aged ≥20 years receiving B/F/TAF within routine clinical care in Japan.

Lamivudine plus dolutegravir (3TC/DTG) and bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide (B/F/TAF) regimens are commonly used as first-line treatments for people living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) (PLWH) worldwide. There are limited comparative data on the antiviral activity and safety between these regimens in ART-naive PLWH, particularly in China, where the 3TC/DTG regimen was integrated into first-line therapy in 2021 and gained broader adoption after its inclusion in the National Health Insurance in 2022. This study aims to provide real-world evidence comparing the 3TC/DTG regimen to the B/F/TAF regimen in ART-naive PLWH in China.
