The newest development in sentinel lymph node imaging is portable gamma probe imaging. In this case report, results of all SLN detection methods were analyzed. The patient was imaged using a large field-of-view gamma camera with additional blue dye administration and intraoperative localization of sentinel lymph node using both gamma probe and portable gamma camera was performed. In this case report, the value of additional portable gamma camera imaging was analyzed.

Radioactive cesium released into the atmosphere caused by the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plant accident in March 2011 has contaminated the surrounding area. We confirmed the applicability of in-situ methods to evaluate the depth distribution of Cs by employing the ratio of Compton-scattering and photo-peak components (r) obtained from measured gamma-ray spectra. In the present study, we applied the in-situ method to farmlands in Fukushima Prefecture whose sites were disturbed by decontamination and plowing operations.

This paper describes the development of a portable neutron-gamma detector for environmental radiation monitoring based on the CLYC crystal. It can function as a gamma spectrometer, gamma dosimeter, and thermal neutron counter. The upper measurement limit of gamma dose rate is approximately 6 mSv/h by using the proposed current mode in CLYC crystal and PMT.

Background: In the realm of emotion detection, comfort and portability play crucial roles in enhancing user experiences. However, few works study the reduction in the number of electrodes used to detect emotions, and none of them compare the location of these electrodes with a commercial low-cost headband.
Methods: This work explores the potential of wearable EEG devices, specifically the Muse S headband, for emotion classification in terms of valence and arousal.

A novel portable chamber was developed to extend the shelf life of chicken breasts through a synergistic treatment of gamma irradiation and Salmide®, a sodium chlorite-based oxy-halogen. This combination successfully enhanced the shelf life by utilizing a low dosage of gamma irradiation alongside low concentrations of Salmide (200 ppm sodium chlorite). Fresh chicken breast samples were treated with gamma irradiation, then packed in ice containing Salmide within the portable chamber, and subsequently stored for 20 days in a refrigerator at 4 °C ± 1.
