Parents of hospitalized children need support to diminish their own fear and anxiety and provide safe and loving care for the child. Baccalaureate nursing students, who are rarely parents themselves, often find it difficult to understand the needs of parents. An innovative simulation strategy was created to enhance students' understanding of the parent's role and its effect on family-centered care. This article describes the development of pediatric simulation experiences that actively incorporate the role of a parent. Portraying the parent during the simulation increases students' ability to be empathetic while providing safe family-centered care.

Background: Children diagnosed with Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) have greater difficulty in regulating their own media usage and are inclined to spend more time engaging in video games compared to neurotypical children. This study aimed to investigate the effects of ADHD severity, digital parenting awareness, and accompanying psychiatric symptoms on children's problematic media (PMU) use in children with ADHD.

Introduction: Previous randomised controlled trials (RCTs) have indicated a protective role of pregnancy supplementation with fish oil and high-dose vitamin D, respectively, on offspring asthma, infections and several other disorders in early childhood. However, current evidence is not considered sufficient for recommending these supplements in pregnancy.
