Aims: Pulmonary regurgitation (PR) after reparative intervention for congenital heart disease has been studied extensively. However, the burden, distribution of causes, and outcome of PR in adults is unknown. The study aimed to evaluate the prevalence, types, and outcomes of moderate/severe PR in adults in the community setting.

After corrective surgery for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS), patients can return to sports activities without restrictions. While there have been many reports of long-term disc degeneration between adjacent segments after posterior corrective fusion, the effects of sports activities on adjacent segments after corrective fusion surgery are not well understood. Particularly, cases of acquired spondylolysis after long fusion surgeries for scoliosis are rare.

To describe the clinical characteristics and to explore the prognostic factors of concurrent pneumonia (PJP) in patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathy (IIM). We retrospectively enrolled consecutive IIM patients diagnosed with PJP at our center between January 2014 and December 2022. Fifty-eight IIM-PJP patients were enrolled in our study, with the age of 26-79 (56.

Objective: Idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH) is highly prevalent among elderly individuals, and there is a strong correlation between telomere length and biological aging. However, there is limited evidence to elucidate the relationship between telomere length and iNPH. This study aimed to investigate the associations between telomere length and iNPH using the Mendelian randomization (MR) method.

Background And Purpose: In idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH) patients, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) flow is typically evaluated with a cardiac-gated two-dimensional (2D) phase-contrast (PC) MRI through the cerebral aqueduct. This approach is limited by the evaluation of a single location and does not account for respiration effects on flow. In this study, we quantified the cardiac and respiratory contributions to CSF movement at multiple intracranial locations using a real-time 2D PC-MRI and evaluated the diagnostic value of CSF dynamics biomarkers in classifying iNPH patients.
