The steady state of a water distribution system abides by the laws of mass and energy conservation. Hydraulic solvers, such as the one used by EPANET approach the simulation for a given topology with a Newton-Raphson algorithm. However, iterative approximation involves a matrix inversion which acts as a computational bottleneck and may significantly slow down the process.

In this study, we developed and validated a novel microhaplotype (MH) panel, the FGID Microhaplotype Kit, which contains 232 loci and was specifically designed for forensic kinship analysis. The performance of the panel was evaluated through rigorous testing that included sensitivity, species specificity, inhibitor resistance, uniformity, stability, accuracy and mixture deconvolution. The results showed that the kit is capable of reliably detecting all loci with minimal DNA input.

Maternal obesity puts the offspring at high risk of developing obesity and cardio-metabolic diseases in adulthood. Here, we utilized a mouse model of maternal high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obesity that recapitulates metabolic perturbations seen in humans. We show increased adiposity in the offspring of HFD-fed mothers (Off-HFD) when compared to the offspring regular diet-fed mothers (Off-RD).

Algorithms based on these features have estimated that up to 68% of recurrences might be new primaries. Computational models of transcription lack generalizability to accurately extrapolate to unseen cell types and conditions. Here we introduce GET (general expression transformer), an interpretable foundation model designed to uncover regulatory grammars across 213 human fetal and adult cell types.
