Genome Sequences of Two Novel Papillomaviruses Isolated from Healthy Skin of and Deer. | LitMetric

AI Article Synopsis

  • The study presents the complete genome sequences of two viruses, PpudPV1 from a Southern pudu and CelaPV2 from a red deer, found in healthy skin hair follicles.
  • PpudPV1 is classified as a baseline member of the DyokappaPVs group, while CelaPV2 is linked to the XiPVs within the Beta-XiPV crown group.
  • This research contributes to the understanding of viral diversity in animal skin and hair follicle environments.

Article Abstract

We report the complete genome sequences of (PpudPV1) and (CelaPV2), isolated from healthy skin hair follicles of a Southern pudu and a red deer, respectively. PpudPV1 is basal to the DyokappaPVs, whereas CelaPV2 is basal to the XiPVs (Beta-XiPV crown group).
