A woman in her 50s presented with a 1-year history of left hip pain that increased over the past 2 weeks. The pain began following a low-energy fall. During the 1-year period, she had multiple lesions in the thigh and gluteal region, which were surgically excised.

Jaffe-Campanacci syndrome (JCS) is a rare disorder characterized by multiple non-ossifying fibromas (NOFs), café-au-lait spots, and other features such as mental retardation and cryptorchidism. It is often clinically and genetically similar to neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), complicating diagnosis. This report presents a 17-year-old male with right knee pain, café-au-lait spots, and axillary freckling.

Secretion of beta human chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG) is a rare, recently recognised paraneoplastic syndrome. Herein, we present a case of a woman in her 30s with right femur conventional high-grade osteosarcoma and a positive screening urine pregnancy test. As surgeons, we strive to recognize and correct any mistakes that may occur before completing an operation, and importantly, do our best to avoid irreversible mistakes. Over-resection of the femoral cam lesion in patients having hip arthroscopy for femoroacetabular impingement syndrome has been considered irreversible. While cam under-resection is a technical complication of femoroacetabular impingement surgery to be avoided, avoiding this at the expense of over-resection of the proximal femur is of great concern.
