Long-distance migrants must optimise their timing of breeding to capitalise on resources at both breeding and over-wintering sites. In species with protracted breeding seasons, departing earlier on migration might be advantageous, but is constrained by the ongoing breeding attempt. Here we investigated how breeding timing affects migratory strategies in the Manx shearwater (Puffinus puffinus), a trans-hemispheric migratory seabird with large temporal variation in the onset of breeding.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyse Gillies Temporal approach Vs Towel Clip method for reduction of zygoma fractures.
Method: A randomised comparative study was conducted on 30 patients having zygoma fractures confirmed with pre-operative NCCT face with 3 D reconstruction. Patients were divided into 2 groups, Group-1- Gillies temporal approach and Group-2- Towel clip method.

Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of the degree of fracture reduction after open reduction and internal fixation of Zygomaticomaxillary Complex (ZMC) fractures in the Saudi population of the Al-Baha region, using Gillies approach. Further comparison with preoperative and postoperative standardized computed tomography (CT) views with the calculation of residual deformity percentage, which remained after the ZMC rehabilitation.
Methods: A 5-year retrospective CT-based study on preoperative and postoperative axial CT scans of 46 male patients with ZMC fractures.

Gillies temporal approach has been widely used to reduce zygoma fractures. Traditionally, it is the preferred method to reduce the isolated zygomatic arch fracture. It can be combined with other approaches, such as subciliary and intraoral incisions for more complex zygomatic fractures, so-called tripod fractures.

Introduction: Bilateral coronoid hyperplasia is an abnormal elongation of the mandibular coronoid process which is rare in occurrence and causes progressive but slow reduction in mouth opening. In case of reduction in zygomatic arch fracture by Gillies temporal approach, the presence of bilateral coronoid hyperplasia can be a possible factor for hindrance and improper reduction.
Material And Methods: We propose a technical note to overcome this hindrance caused by the coronoid hyperplasia and propose tips and tricks to successful reduction in zygomatic arch.
