The six-level phase mask (SLPM) can be used in a focal plane as an efficient coronagraph [Opt. Express 22, 1884 (2014)]. It has several advantages: high-contrast imaging in broadband with small inner working angle; easy fabrication at low cost by photolithography and reactive ion etching processes; easy implementation with no need of pupil apodization. We present in this paper the first laboratory results demonstrating the high performance of a SLPM with an unobscured pupil. The on-axis attenuation reaches 2 × 10 at λ = 800 nm and is better than 10 over a 10% spectral bandwidth and better than 10 over a 20% bandwidth. Finally, the detection of a planet can be achieved down to 1 λ/D.

The immune defense and the repair function of the pulp tissue serve as the biological foundation of pulpotomy. The precise evaluation of the pulp inflammation extent and determining its reversibility are essential for the success of pulpotomy. The objective of this study was to classify the molecular-level of dental pulp cell physiology and inflammatory state based on the biochemical changes obtained by single-cell Raman spectroscopy.

High-Throughput Quantitative LC-MS/MS Analysis of Benzodiazepines in Human Urine.

Methods Mol Biol

December 2023

Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester, NY, USA.

We hereby present a fast, high-throughput, and clinical LC-MS/MS assay for the simultaneous analysis of benzodiazepines in human urine. The assay is used as both a confirmations and semi-quantitative assay for the abovementioned drugs of abuse following immunoassay urine drug screens. Urine levels are reported in the range of 25 ng/mL-500 ng/mL for each of the 22 analytes, based on a six-level calibration and using a subset (10) of stable isotopically labeled analogues as internal standards.

Background The coronavirus pandemic preparedness and response activities began in Nepal after the detection of the first case on 24 January 2020. Highest daily case record in June 2020 was 671, but it reached above 5,000 in October 2020. Objective This study assessed preparedness and response status of government designated COVID-19 clinics and various level hospitals.

Objective: To examine the trajectory of the Rating of Everyday Arm-use in the Community and Home (REACH) scores over the first-year post-stroke, determine if REACH scores are modified by baseline impairment level and explore the responsiveness of the REACH scale through hypothesis testing.

Design: Consecutive sample longitudinal study.

Setting: Participants were recruited from an acute stroke unit and followed up at three, six, and 12 months post-stroke.
