A three-component electrophilic reaction transforms olefins into imidazoline and diamine derivatives. Rhodium(II) heptafluorobutyrate dimer (2 mol %) was utilized as the catalyst and N,N-dichloro-p-toluenesulfonamide (TsNCl ) and acetonitrile as the nitrogen sources. Modest to good yields (45-82 %) and high regio- and stereoselectivity were achieved.

This study presents the preparation, characterization, and application of a novel Multi-walled carbon nanotubes/TiO/chitosan (MWCNT/TiO/CS) nanocomposite, prepared using a hydrothermal method, for the removal of malachite green (MG) dye from aqueous solutions. Adsorption studies revealed optimal dye removal within 15 min of adsorption equilibrium time, with maximum removal efficiency of 98.53 % at pH 7.

Betulinic acid (BA) is a kind of naturally occurring lupane pentacyclic triterpenoid, possessing various biological activities including antiviral, anti-inflammatory and antitumor activity. Covalent inhibitors, characterized by electrophilic warheads that form covalent bonds with specific amino acid residues of target proteins, have garnered enormous attention in anticancer agent discovery over the past decade owing to their exceptional selectivity and efficacy. In this study, BA was structurally modified with electrophilic groups, and 23 derivatives of BA were synthesized.

ConspectusControlling selectivity through manipulation of reaction intermediates remains one of the most enduring challenges in organic chemistry, providing novel solutions for selective C-C π-bond functionalization. This approach, guided by activation principles, provides an effective method for selective functional group installation, enabling direct synthesis of organic molecules that are inaccessible through conventional pathways. In particular, the selective functionalization of N-conjugated allenes and alkynes has emerged as a promising research focus, driven by advances in controlling reactive intermediates and activation strategies.

The nickel catalyzed multi-component cross-electrophile carbonylation which emerges as a powerful and efficient method for constructing diverse ketones has attracted increasing attention of organic chemists. However, the selectivity of this reaction poses a significant challenge. In this work, we have developed a current-regulated selective nickel-catalyzed electroreductive cross-electrophile carbonylation, which offers a direct convergent synthesis of β/γ-hydroxy ketones, which represent pivotal structural motifs found in numerous natural products, bioactive molecules, pharmaceutical compounds, and essential building blocks.
