A nine-step (!) solid-phase synthesis and subsequent cleavage with cyclization from the polymeric support were the keys to preparing high-quality molecular libraries of thiazolylhydantoines 1 from modified amino acid building blocks. Each step in the synthesis is different. Because the final cyclization cleaves only molecules that have been successfully constructed, the products obtained are pure. R , R =alkyl; R =aryl, arylO; R =allyl.

As a small-molecule gelator used as a stabilizer in gel emulsions, it has numerous advantages, such as low dosage, independence from phase ratios, and ease of control. In this study, a cholesterol derivative (CSA) was designed and synthesized to be used as a stabilizer for gel emulsions. Gelation experiments demonstrated that this small molecule could gelate various organic solvents, including linear alkanes, toluene, isoamyl alcohol, and acetone.

In this study, we synthesized perovskite BaSrSnO ceramics with a unique thorn-like microstructure using the solid-state reaction method. The structural and complex dielectric properties were investigated in detail. X-ray diffraction was employed to characterize the phase purity, while X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy was used to analyze the chemical state of the components.

High-entropy alloys (HEAs) with ultrafine grained and high strength can be prepared by mechanical alloying (MA) followed by sintering. Therefore, MA, as a unique solid powder processing method, has many effects on the microstructures and mechanical properties of the sintered bulk HEAs. This work focused on the alloying behavior, morphology, and phase evolution of FeCrNiAl (x = 1.
