View Article and Find Full Text PDFIn the case of adenosine-sensitive atrial tachycardia originating near the atrioventricular (AV) node, overdrive pacing from the anterior right atrium showed constant and progressive fusion, indicating that the pacing site is proximal to slow conduction. Shortening the pacing cycle length prolonged conduction times to the orthodromic capture sites; they remained unchanged at the antidromic capture sites. Limited decremental conduction property in the slow conduction zone supports the hypothesis that AV node-like tissue remnants along the AV annulus are involved.

The present study proposes a comprehensive 3D computational fluid dynamics-discrete element method (CFD-DEM) coupled simulation model to investigate the particle dynamics induced by SS316L metal vapor spouting during single-scan-track laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) processing. The model provides the ability to examine the effects of nonconventional process variables such as the chamber pressure and gravitational force on the suppression of the spatter and denudation phenomena. The simulation results imply that adjusting the gravitational force provides an effective technique for suppressing both spatter formation and powder bed denudation.

Entrained flow gasification provides a more efficient utilization method for high-sulfur petroleum coke. The operation temperature of the entrained flow gasifier must be above the ash fusion temperature (AFT) of petroleum coke due to the liquid slag discharge. In this work, petroleum coke was blended with high-calcium coal and high-iron coal, respectively, under a reducing atmosphere, and the variations in AFTs were recorded by an ash fusion temperature analyzer.

Background: The left ventricular (LV) summit has anatomical limitations, so the detailed mapping is difficult. Therefore, the mechanism of ventricular tachycardia (VT) originating from the LV summit is not well understood.
Case Summary: A 70-year-old man had VTs with right bundle branch block (VT1 and VT3) and left bundle branch block (VT2) morphologies originating from the left ventricular summit (LV summit).
