This paper concerns research into the use of 3D-printed gyroid structures as a modern thermal insulation material in construction. The study focuses on the analysis of open-cell gyroid structures and their effectiveness in insulating external building envelopes. Gyroid composite samples produced using DLP 3D-printing technology were tested to determine key parameters such as thermal conductivity (λ), thermal resistance (R) and heat transfer coefficient (U) according to ISO 9869-1:2014.

Background: The foam roller is considered a versatile tool. Along with an active warm-up, it appears to positively affect range of motion, stability, muscle stiffness, and perceived exertion with no reductions in performance.
Hypothesis/purpose: The main purpose of the study was to observe the effects of the utilization of a foam roller during the warm-up on ankle mobility and lower limb stability, and secondarily, to assess if any induced effects were sustained over time.

This study addresses a practical and efficient approach to evaluating the load-bearing capacity of severely degraded concrete manholes. Concrete deterioration, often advanced and highly irregular, can be captured accurately through surface scanning to create a detailed model of the damaged structure and also to build a simplified modeling to enable rapid engineering-level assessment, filling a critical gap in infrastructure maintenance. The repair strategy involves applying an internal polyurea layer, a variable-thickness polyurethane foam layer depending on the degree of localized degradation, and an external polyurea layer to restore the original shape of the manhole.

Polyurethane (PUR) soft foams release malodorous and potentially toxic compounds when exposed to oxidative conditions. Current chamber test methods cannot distinguish between pre-existing volatiles and those formed during oxidation, nor can they assess the formation rates of oxidation products. We subjected PUR soft foam to oxidative treatment in a continuous air flow at 120 °C.

Pilates can be defined as exercises which are floor-based or use specialized equipment to provide resistance.
